In this life, no one is without struggles. But your struggles do not need to define you, nor do they need to steal your hope and joy. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow in the area in which they seek support. I have worked with clients who experience a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, substance abuse, student athlete stress, spiritual/ faith-based struggles, family conflict, OCD, self-injurious behaviors, self-confidence issues, trauma and grief and loss. I am experienced in both Christian counseling (I am a certified Focus on the Family Provider) and secular settings.  I have worked in the mental health field for 15 years, attained licensure in 2014 and am a licensed clinical supervisor in the state of VA. I received my Master's of Counseling degree from Marymount University. I spent my residency treating adolescent clients in a residential treatment facility and in an intensive outpatient program (IOP). I also have experience counseling in a hospice setting and with an intensive in home counseling company. I have been in private practice since 2014.

My area of expertise is anxiety disorders: OCD, phobias, social anxiety, panic disorder, BFRB (body focussed repetitive behaviors) RFID (Avoidant/ restrictive food intake disorder) etc. I have my Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) certification, am Psychology Today Certified , and a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).

I am passionate about walking alongside individuals who are seeking a safe and supportive space to process their experiences. My goal is to help clients feel less alone and truly heard, creating an environment where they can gain deeper insight into themselves and their relationships. I am dedicated to helping my clients break through challenges and achieve their highest potential. 

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Liberty University, followed by a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my internship at Leesburg Counseling, a private practice located in Leesburg, Virginia. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and gain valuable experience across various populations from adolescents to older adults. My work has included supporting individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, adjustment disorders, communication difficulties, and relational concerns. I use research backed approaches such as CBT, person-centered therapy, DBT, and trauma-informed care to help guide clients toward lasting, meaningful growth. I have a certification in the SYMBIS (Save your marriage before it starts) pre-martial program.

It is important to me to provide a supportive and understanding space that’s tailored specifically to my clients. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I strive to help my clients gain insight, clarity, and develop coping strategies to effectively manage their mental health issues.
